Fashionably late?

We just got back from the weekly check-up with the obstetrician and Head continues to flourish in the womb. His ultra-sound was looking great. He has still managed to block his face with his hand for over 10 visits now. Actually pretty much since he has had hands- he has been hiding his face. (Hopefully, it is not to hide his horns.)

The doctor decided to do a stress test on him because he has officially hit the 40 week mark. So Jenny had to lay down with a machine wrapped around her belly monitoring his heart and any contractions for about a half hour. They said a healthy baby's heart should stay between 100 and 180 BPM. His was a steady 140 for thirty minutes. You could set your watch to his heart beat. Sadly for Jenny, there wasn't a single contraction. She REALLY wants him out now. She walked with Mike and I to the grocery store last night and is still getting around fine but I think she is done with the whole pregnancy thing.

Last night I heard her talking in the bedroom to someone, so I walked in to see who it was. She was sitting on the bed, staring at her belly and trying to convince the baby that it was time to come out. She is getting really excited and is surprisingly unworried about the delivery. I really wish I could be as calm about things as the Zen-like Jenny.

So I will try to let you know when labor starts. The doctor said that if he hasn't come by the end of week 41, it might be time to induce. Jenny couldn't agree more.

Babies come when they are ready to come but I know how you feel Jenny. I was a week overdue with both mine and it seemed more like months!
Love you guys,
Mom

I think 7 days, which puts it at next Wednesday. See today is the day of the epiphany which means that I'm right. Okay, probably not it sure sounded good.
