One Week Until Summer Holidays

Starting August 1st, we have 5 days off, so we are going to borrow Jenny's cousin's car and drive to the south of the island in Kenting. From there, we will work our way up the East Coast, almost all the way to the top. I have been living in Taiwan for over 6 years and despite it being the same size as Vancouver Island, have never seen the other side of the island. I keep hearing good things, so I am really looking forward to it. I think we will bring Jenny's laptop with us, so I will probably blog from the road.
Drai is doing well. As you can see in the video, he is quite mobile now. He somehow cut his forehead this morning. I think he fell against the wall but am not sure. He cried until I picked him up and then quickly forgot about it. It makes him look tougher. His new favorite toy is this big foam dice. He is most likely destined to become a gambler.
I want to try and find him a big Tonka dump truck. I think he will like it a lot. I am not sure if I will be able to track one down here or not. He has added new noises to his vocabulary including "Mum mum."

haha, I love it. He sounds like a random bird in some tropical location.

He's sure an active little guy. I thought he might have stood on the dice and tried climbing onto the bed.
We sure do miss you guys.
Love,
Dadd

Why is Drai like shooting commerical with only diaper on? Cute!

By the way, don't expect too much from your trip to eastern Taiwan and that's how you get surprised when you get there. Taroko gorge is the must go.

I've never heard a baby make those kinds of noises, it absolutely cracks me up. And man is he busy, just like his dad!!!
I Googled Taroko Gorge, WOW. Fanny's right it is a must see. Have fun and drive carefully!!
